Mary M. Miller, age 90, of La Crosse, WI passed away February 6, 2025, at Eagle Crest North, Onalaska, WI.
Mary was born August 24, 1934, at the home of her parents, Keith and Mildred McDonald, in Glasford, IL. She married Robert (Ding) Miller on January 8, 1952, when she was just 17 years old. They were married 66 years before he passed away January 14, 2018. They lived mostly in the Genoa City area, Naples FL and finally La Crosse, WI.
Mary worked many jobs during her life, either babysitting, waitressing or secretarial work plus helping Robert build five homes together (all designed by her), while raising four children.
Mary was a member of the Faith First Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City. She enjoyed music and oil painting over the years and organized many McDonald family gatherings.
Mary is survived by her brother Paul (Sue) McDonald, children Rob Miller, Tim (Jo Ellen) Miller, Scot (Asal) Miller, Minda (Mark) Chamberlain; grandchildren Matthew, Samantha, Julia, Ashley (Brandon), Megan (John), Tera (Tim), Ryan (Morgan) and Taylor (Kyle); great-grandchildren Anthony, Peyton, Merrick, Beckett and Reece; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Terry, Sabra and Sandy; brothers Bill and Gary; and grandson Daniel.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff who cared for Mary at Eagle Crest North Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Faith First Congregational United Church of Christ, 624 Park St. Genoa City, WI. 53128.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 22, 2025, at 11:00AM at Faith First Congregational United Church of Christ 624 Park St. Genoa City, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the time of services at the church. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa City, WI is honored to serve the Miller family.
