M. Elizabeth Walston age 87 of Twin Lakes, WI died Wednesday July 16, 2014 at her home.
The former Mary Elizabeth Osborne was born on December 2, 1926 in Halifax, VA, the daughter of the late Samuel S. and Dorothy Soloman Osborne. On December 24, 1954 in Halifax, VA, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Richard Martin Walston. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2012.
Elizabeth graduated from Columbia International University in Columbia, SC. Elizabeth and Richard lived in St. Charles, IL where they were active in New Covenant Bible Church until moving to Twin Lakes in 2005. They were members of New Life Bible Church in Twin Lakes. They were Missionaries in Japan from 1960 to 1963. She formerly worked as an administrative assistant for the Kane County Recorder's Office.
Elizabeth is survived by: 2 daughter's-Carolyn Metcalf of Lanark, IL and Darlene (Chuck) Boyd of Twin Lakes, WI; 7 grandchildren-Brittany (Casey) Golema, Nathan (Sarah) Metcalf, Jessica (Andrew) Schmidt, Tyler (Ashley) Boyd, Jacob Boyd, Grant Boyd and Faith Boyd; 5 gr. Grandchildren-Caleb Golema, Isaac Golema, Derek Metcalf, Owen Metcalf and Abby Schmidt; 1 sister-Dorothy Osborne of Richmond, VA.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by: 1 grandson-David Michael Boyd; 3 sisters-Myrtle Casssada, Nellie Murphy and Elsie Sheperd; 3 brothers-Ralph, Clarence and Samuel Osborne; 1 son in law-Mike Metcalf.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30AM Friday July 25, 2014 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI with Pastor Tracy McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in So. WI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in the Town of Dover, WI. The Walston Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:30AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
