Mathew Ashton McDonough, age 22, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Wednesday morning, August 12, 2020 in Lake Geneva, WI.

Mathew was born on October 23, 1997 in Lake Forest, IL, the son of Michael P. and Deann L. Peterson McDonough, II.  Mathew lived in Twin Lakes, WI before moving to Lake Geneva, WI 2 years ago.  Mathew attended Wilmot High School.  He worked as a landscaper for Madero Landscaping of Twin Lakes.

Mathew enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4 wheelers making beef jerky and bacon.  He enjoyed his cat Keef.  He was an outdoors man.

Mathew is survived by:  his parents, Michael and Deann of Lake Geneva, WI; brother, Duston (Bridgette McDonough of Antioch, IL; sister Morgan McDonough of Lake Geneva, WI; niece, Maisie and a nephew, Noah due in September; Maternal Grandparents, Roger and Bertha Peterson of Powers Lake, WI and paternal grandparents, Michael and Patricia McDonough of Pell City, AL.  Mathew is also survived by his boss and friend, Mike Madero and his cousin and buddy, Brett Peterson.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Bradley Peterson.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 2:00PM until time of Funeral Services at 5:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.

Due to Covid-19 regulations, we are only allowed 50 people in the building at any given time.  Please adhere to social distancing guidelines while in the building.  Masks are required.  You are welcome inside to offer your support and condolences, but please be mindful of time spent inside so that everyone will be able to express their sympathy.  Thank you for understanding.
