Mathilda "Tilly" A.C. Stier age 85 of Elkhorn, WI died on Friday July 7, 2023 at Ridgestone Gardens in Elkhorn, WI.  Mathilda was born on March 10, 1938 in Holland; daughter of the late Theodore and Hendrika (Gerritts) Rutten.  Mathilda moved with her family to the U.S. in 1955 at the age of 17.  She finished out her high school years and continued to grow up in Menasha, WI.  Mathilda met and married Joseph Stier and they got married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha, WI on July 13, 1959.  Together they started a family and moved to Elkhorn in 1978 and lived together until his passing on November 9, 1991.  Mathilda is preceded in death by her Husband; parents; son; Joseph Stier Jr.; brothers; Johannes and Ronald Rutten; and a number of aunts and uncles.  She is survived by her children; David (Merry) Stier, Michael (Kathleen) Stier, Margaret (Mike) Fincutter; grandchildren; Philip (Kristi) Stier, Kayla (Nathaniel) Arnold, Brandon Stier, Jacob (Samantha) Stier, Kali Stier, Tyler (Mia) Fincutter, Alyssa Fincutter; great grandchildren; Leland Stier, Alexander Arnold, Aviana Arnold, Arian Arnold, Jaden Stier, Addyson Strohl-Stier, Samantha VanBeek, Leah Fincutter; sister; Geri Stoehr; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI on Friday July 28, 2023 at 11:00AM, officiated by Fr. Oriol Regales.  Visitation will take place before Mass beginning at 10:00AM.  Mathilda will be laid to rest at Mt.
