Maxine "Mac" Jones, 97 of Elkhorn, WI, formerly of Des Moines, IA, passed away on December 4, 2019 at the Gardens at Ridgestone in Elkhorn, WI. She was born September 24, 1922 in Iowa, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Marie (Christenson) Larson.  Maxine married James R. Jones on April 1, 1944 in Alexandria, LA.  She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, especially bunko and pitch. Maxine was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Des Moines, IA, where she loved spending time with her circle group.  She also enjoyed spending time in her garden, sewing and cooking.  Maxine was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Maxine is survived by her two children; Gregory (Delores) Jones of Mason City, IA and Jean Krieg of Elkhorn, WI, son-in-law, Bill Krieg of Mercer, WI, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James, her parents, brother, Robert, twin sister, Marcella and sister, Francis.
