Melanie R. (McCole) Stickney age 41 of Lake Geneva, WI died May 5, 2025, after a courageous battle of four years.  She was born in Burlington, WI on November 27, 1983.  The daughter of Joseph and Patricia (Nienhaus) McCole.   On September 26, 2021, she was united in marriage to Jonathan Stickney.

Melanie graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout with a bachelor's degree in hospitality which brought her to her love of Human Resources at Fait Distribution in Burlington, WI.  Her smile always brightened everyone's day, and she lived by the motto Positive Mental Attitude (PMA).  She was a proud Dog mom and cared deeply for her dogs Kevin and Odin.

Survived by her husband Jonathan, parents Joseph and Patricia McCole.  Brother Tim (Hannah) McCole.  Niece to Mary (Jon) Ostman, Rosalie (Bob) Collins, Pat (Mary) McCole, Dorothy (Bill) Sands, Dianne (Tim) Mowery, John McCole, Stan (Bev) Nienhaus and Dave (Allison) Nienhaus.  Sister-in-Law to Erika (Matt) Mauthe and their children Ben and Paige.  Further survived by numerous cousins.  Preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents Stan and Barb Nienhaus and Paternal Grandparents Richard and Mary McCole.  Aunt Lynnette Samuel and cousins Kenneth Samuel and Richard Samuel.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025, at 11:00AM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 620 Legion Dr.  Twin Lakes, WI.  Burial to follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Randall, WI.  Visitation will be held on Friday May 9, 2025, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home and then again on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of services.  Memorials in Melanie's name may be made to Metavivor Research and Support Inc. 7780 Elmwood Ave, Ste 130 Middleton, WI 53562.  The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Twin Lakes, WI is honored to serve the Stickney family.
