Michael J. Carlson, age 61, of Waukesha, WI, died Friday evening July 1, 2016 at the Aurora Summit Hospital in Summit, WI after a short illness.

Michael John Carlson was born on July 28, 1954 in Burlington, wI, the son of the late David Alfred and Bernice Clara Lensmeyer Carlson.  Michael graduated from Wilmot High School.  He lived in Center Lake, WI before moving to Waukesha, WI 8 years ago.

Michael worked as a truck driver for Badger Materials Recycling, LLC.  He enjoyed working, riding his Harley and especially his family.

Michael is survived by: 1 brother-Thomas (Bonnie) Carlson of Burlington, WI; Nieces and nephews-Jerod and Emily Grossen, Joe and Amanda Kerznar, Tom Carlson, Jr. Katie Baumgartner, Jamie and Al Volpentesta and Tanya and Roy McGill; other great nieces and nephews; and very dear friends-Mary Peter, Annie and Wayne Noordhof, Eddy and Debbie Boyd, Stephanie Christianson and Roberta Pollak.

A Memorial gathering will be held from 4:00PM until the Memorial Service at 7:00PM on Friday July 8, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
