Michael R. Lakin, 77 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Vitas Ruth Hospice House in Milwaukee, WI.  He was born November 13, 1947, the son of the late Jack and Ardith (Foutch) Lakin.  Mike was united in marriage to Barbara Pliska on April 17, 1971, in Milwaukee, WI. He served in the United State Army during the Vietnam War.  Mike enjoyed golfing, fishing, and deer hunting.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Lakin, sister, Paula Schammert, brother-in-law, Robert Lucas, nieces and nephews, Samantha, Jackie, Ken Jr., Chris, and Jonathan.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Linda Lucas, and brothers-in-law, Henry Pliska Jr and Ken Schammert.

Graveside Service with Military Honors will be 10:00AM on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St. Union Grove, WI 53182.  Memorials may be directed to the Elkhorn VFW Post 6375, 16 S.
