Michael J. Piester, 33, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Aurora Summit Medical Center.  He was born February 2, 1990, in Elkhorn, WI, the son of James and Marianna (Draskovich) Piester.  Michael was very dedicated and proud of his work - owning and operating M.P. Contracting LLC for 7 years.  He loved living at home with his dad and did extensive remodeling of their Lake Geneva home.  Michael and his dad were currently building a beautiful home on their northern WI property (The Land).  He loved spending time and working with his best friend and brother, Cody, and reminiscing about the good times hanging with Grandpa Charlie.  Nothing made him prouder than his daughter, Mackenzie, who was the light of his life, and his mom's close relationship with Mackenzie brought him peace.  Michael lived life to the fullest no matter what he was doing.  He loved to travel, always on a spontaneous road trip. He had a gifted eye for photography, capturing the beauty of nature during his travels.  Michael enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking and mountain biking.  Michael's smile would light up any room.

Michael is survived by his parents, James (Katrina Hensel) Piester and Marianna Piester, daughter, Mackenzie Piester, brother, Cody Piester, extended family sister Jordan Hensel and brother Nate (Nina) Hensel, mother of his daughter (best mother ever), Angie (Ivan) Purnell, aunts and uncles; Susan Akright, Gwendelynn Peace, Gerald Piester, Tim Draskovich, Deanne Stone, and Christine Draskovich.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Piester, Mary Dawn Cooney, David Draskovich, Sandy Gardner, and uncle, Greg Draskovich.

Memorial Service will be 6:00PM on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will be 4:00PM until service time Friday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be 10:00AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Linn-Hebron Cemetery, 11411 Hillside Rd., Hebron, IL.  Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory completed arrangements for the Piester Family.
