Michael C. Rogge, age 71, of Twin Lakes, WI died Thursday evening February 11, 2016 at his home with his family.
Michael Carl Rogge, was born on June 2, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Carl W. and Mary Ann Peterson Rogge. On October 16, 1965 in Libertyville, IL, Michael was united in marriage to Patricia L. Pagliai. They lived in Libertyville, IL and Delavan, WI before moving to Twin Lakes in 2009.
Michael was self-employed in the auto body repair business specializing in custom painting.
Michael was a historical reenactor and portrayed the French Colonial in the time period of the 1770's. He was known as "The Beautiful Man." He was a speed racing coach for the Village Speed Racers in Mundelein, IL. He was an avid Harley rider. He was an avid black powder gun collector and a blacksmith making knives.
Michael is survived by: His wife of 50 years-Patricia; 2 daughters-Elizabeth Ann (Joe Guevara) Rios of Wonder Lake, IL and Christina L. (Dale) Krause of Avalon, WI; 2 granddaughter's-Carissa Elkins and Melissa E. Elizondo; 2 sisters-Carol Kozlowski of Round Lake, IL and Annie (Jim) Bain of Ingleside, IL; 2 brothers-Thomas (Pam) Rogge of Fox Lake, IL and Robert (Michelle) Rogge of Fox Lake, IL and his mother in law-Betty Pagliai of Twin Lakes, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister-Mary Ellen Hoye and his father in law-Nello Pagliai.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday February 20, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory in Twin Lakes. A gathering of friends will be held from 11:00AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
