Michael W. Troute, 60, died January 29, 2026, after a lengthy illness in Elkhorn, WI.

Mike was the fourth and only boy child born August 2, 1965 to Jackie L. and Barbara S. (Hughes) Troute in Maryland. The military family arrived at Anchorage, Alaska in April 1968. Mike had lived there until the onset of his illness in 2021. He had only been outside once before then. He was a graduate of West Anchorage High School. He started work at Safeway in 1982 and had one of the longest tenures until leaving in 2021 as a Senior Produce Clerk. He was a confirmed bachelor, avid fan of baseball and football. He also enjoyed reading, watching movies, fishing and hanging with friends at Crossroads and the Cabin Tavern, which he missed immensely. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by three older sisters, Debra S. Ketchum of Elkhorn, WI, Sandra L. Troute of Wasilla, AK and Polly A. Severson of Anchorage, AK. Nephew Shon A.

(Meghan A.) sons Liam S. and James L. Ketchum. Grand-nephew John A. Ketchum. Niece Tiffany A. Collins and her daughter Lily R., all of Elkhorn, WI and his aunt Ruby Nell Baldwin, of Honea Path, SC. His wish was to be cremated and ashes returned to Anchorage. A celebration of life will be held the end of March at the Crossroads Lounge, 1402 Gambell St., Anchorage, AK.
