Michelle M Anderson

Michelle Anderson, 63, of Genoa City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous nine-month battle with an aggressive brain cancer.

 Michelle was born on April 16, 1963, to Richard and Bonnie (Becker) Mueller at the Royal Air Force Station Hospital in Suffolk, England, while her father was stationed at RAF Lakenheath. She was the oldest of three daughters and was lovingly known as "Shelley" by her family. She grew up in Browns Lake and Twin Lakes before later living in Burlington and eventually making her home in Genoa City.

 Michelle's first jobs were at Dairy Queen in Silver Lake and Wilmot Mountain Ski Hills; she later graduated from Gateway Technical College and began her dental assistant career at Dr. Kaske's dental practice in Twin Lakes before joining Kemper Group Insurance Agency in Long Grove, Illinois. Most recently, she spent more than 20 years with The Reesman Company in Burlington, where she worked in Human Resources and Payroll until retiring in 2024. 

In 1992, Michelle married Andrew Cramer. After welcoming her three daughters, Stephanie, Taylor, and Lexie, she made the decision to stay home to raise them - a role that became the greatest joy of her life. She devoted herself completely to being the best mom she could be. Whether volunteering at school, organizing PTO events, planning unforgettable birthday parties, making special cakes and teacher gifts, chaperoning field trips, or creating cherished family vacations, Michelle poured her heart into every moment with "her girls." Her daughters remained the center of her world throughout her life. 

Michelle married Doug Anderson in 2018, and together they embraced every opportunity for adventure. They loved traveling, cruising, riding their UTV with the State Line Cruisers through various parts of Wisconsin, South Dakota, Arizona, West Virginia, Minnesota, upper peninsula in Michigan and Kentucky, and spending weekends at their cabin in New Miner, Wisconsin. She also enjoyed cheering on the Packers and Brewers, crafting thoughtful gifts on her Cricut, attending outings with the Twin Lakes Senior Group, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. Whether gathering over coffee, sharing a glass of wine, hosting game nights with her daughters, or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, Michelle had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. She treasured lifelong friendships and was often the one bringing people together. 

Throughout her illness, Michelle demonstrated extraordinary strength, determination, and just the right amount of stubbornness. Despite numerous setbacks, she learned to walk twice, refusing to give up. Although aphasia made communication difficult, she never lost her spirit or her signature sass. She could still firmly say "No!" when she wanted to make her opinion known, and she continued telling those she loved, "I love you," almost until the very end. 

Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Doug Anderson; her beloved daughters, Stephanie Cramer (Matt Eisenzimmer), Taylor Cramer, and Lexie Cramer; her stepdaughter and son-inlaw, Danielle and Kyle Slamans; her cherished grandchildren, Quinn and Levi; her sisters, Debbie (Andy) Seitz and Kari (Grant) Strobel; her nephew and niece, Cole and Ava; her aunts, Jan Mosley and Ginette Mueller; her dogs, Kobe and Bruno; and many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bonnie Mueller. 

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the UW Health Neuro-Oncology team, the IPR nurses and therapists at Lakeview Specialty Hospital, and the compassionate staff of Mercyhealth Hospice Wisconsin for the exceptional care they provided Michelle throughout her journey.

 Michelle will be remembered for the unconditional love she gave her daughters and grandchildren, the kindness she extended to everyone she met, the lifelong friendships she cherished, and the remarkable strength, stubborn determination, and loving spirit she showed until the very end. Her greatest legacy is the love she leaves behind in her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00PM in Thursday July 30, 2026 at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.  Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until the time of services at the funeral home on Thursday.  Burial will be held on Friday July 31, 2026 at 10:00AM at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Randall, WI.  If attending please meet at the funeral home at 9:30am for a procession to the cemetery.  The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI is honored to serve the Anderson family.
