Elkhorn: Milton F. Zwiebel: 90, of Elkhorn, WI died Friday December 5, 2014 at Wisconsin Veterans Home Union Grove, WI. He was born on October 11, 1924 to Herbert and Charlotte (Peters) Zwiebel. He graduated from Elkhorn High School with the Class of 1943. That September he enlisted in the Navy, attended diesel mechanic school in Chicago and then served his country during WWII as a diesel engineer on a naval ship in the Pacific. Milt married Ethlyn "Skeets" Eelbeck on May 14, 1949. Most of Milt's life he was self-employed. Beginning in 1963 he began manufacturing and servicing Zwiebel lawnmowers. In 1974 he opened Milt's Woodshed with his son Jamie and was later joined by his son Jeff, where he worked into his eighties. He enjoyed playing Sheepshead, gardening, fixing anything mechanical, woodworking and making his "Famous" chicken noodle soup and homemade bread for family and friends. He especially enjoyed surprising his wife with getaway weekends. Milt was probably best known for his "gift of gab." Milt is survived by his children; Debby (Peter) Manke of Black Earth, WI, Jamie Zwiebel and Jeff (Gerry) Zwiebel all of Elkhorn, WI, Three grandchildren; Hannah, Corey (Jakrey Myers) and Jacob; one great-grandchild, Jayden and a sister, Mary Touton of Fort Atkinson, WI.
