Obituary
Miriam "Mickey" Louise Houk, nee Weis, passed peacefully in the early hours of July 4th, 2014 at Linden Grove, Mukwonago, Wisconsin after a long illness.
She married Claire Houk in September of 1949; the settled in the village of Mukwonago after leaving the families' farms. Always the caregiver, Mickey raised three sons, Roger, Randy, and Rodney, and opened her heart and home to grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a dozen foster children.
Mickey will be fondly remembered for supplying her neighbors, friends and St. James Catholic Church community with her delicious cookies, pies and cakes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and six siblings.
A private burial will lay mom to rest next to her husband of 57 years at St. Theresa's Catholic Cemetery in Eagle, Wisconsin.
Her family wishes to thank the staff members at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, LindenGrove of Mukwonago and Seasons Hospice for their supportive and considerate care.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Mukwonago Food Pantry at 325 Eagle Lake Ave., Mukwonago would be appreciated.
