Monica M. Gilmartin age 65 of Elkhorn, WI, formerly of Chicago, died at home on February 10, 2018 after a short battle against cancer.  Monica was born on May 26, 1952 daughter of the late William and Gladys (Wilde) Heenan.  Monica was married to John F. Gilmartin on July 9, 1977 in Riverdale, IL.  The two of them spent their years together raising a family between the Chicago area, Delavan, and Lauderdale Lakes area for the last 40 years before officially calling Lauderdale Lakes home.  Monica was very active in the Lauderdale Lakes Aqua Skiers, and a member of the La La's; which is a Lauderdale Lakes Woman's Club.  Monica is survived by her husband John; her children Colleen Gilmartin, Meggie (Joel) Heilman, Mairin (Joe) Donovan; Grandchild, Hadley Heilman, and two more grandchildren on the way; Siblings; Francie (Hal) Krick, Patti (Mick) O'Mahoney, Michael (Peggy) Heenan; and Nora (Michael) Woulfe.  Monica is preceded in death by her parents; her son; Daniel; and Brother; Billy Heenan.  A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI on Friday February 16, 2018 at 10:00AM.  Visitation will be held before Mass starting at 9:00AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made either to Aurora at Home Hospice 103 N. Dodge Street Burlington, WI 53105; or The American Cancer Society N19 W24350 Riverwood Drive Waukesha, WI 53188.  Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI is assisting Monica's Family.
