Morton M. Herman age 86 of Genoa City, WI (Nippersink) died Wednesday November 26, 2014 at his home.
Mort was born on May 23, 1928 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Daniel Brezinovsky and Emma Goldstein Herman. On June 9, 1955 in Hollysprings, Mississippi, Mort was united in marriage to Gayle Patricia Hood.
Mort was a graduate of the University of Illinois and attended John Marshall Law School. He served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sgt. during WWII. He was an entrepreneur and owned and operated Dehler Manufacturing in Chicago. He was a member and past president of the Association of Steel Distributors.
He was a history buff and studied the Civil War, politics and religion.
Mort is survived by: His wife-Gayle P. Herman; son-Mark Herman of Chicago, IL; daughter-Diane Lea Herman of River Forest, IL; 10 grandchildren; 1 twin brother-Jerome Herman of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by 1 son-Edward Jay Herman and 3 sisters-Ethel, Ann and Shirley.
The Herman Family will be sitting Shiva this Sunday Nov. 30, 2014 from 1:30PM to 5:30PM Diane Herman's Residence at 1520 Franklin Ave. River Forest, IL. 60305. Memorial Remembrances may be made to the charity of one's choice in Mort's name.
