IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Myrtle M.
Roberts
April 10, 1932 – May 14, 2024
Myrtle Margaret Roberts, 92 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1932, in Sharon, WI, the daughter of the late Leroy and Margaret (Bensen) Messerschmidt.
Myrtle had a deep love of horses throughout her life. You could always find her wearing something horse related; her room would almost resemble a stable adorned with all the things she collected. A love she shared with her daughter Debra.
She spent a great deal of her life raising rabbits for show, Angora being her breed of choice and she made a great number of friends traveling to shows across the state.
Later as mobility became more of an issue, she spent her days enjoying the time she had playing bingo at the Legion Hall in Delavan and dominos with her closest dearest friends here in Elkhorn.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Clifford, Arnold, and George, two sisters, Barbara Day and Eileen Rogers, son James Kennedy and daughter, Debra Larrabee. Myrtle is survived by her two sons, John (Rita) Kennedy, Dan (Rachel) Roberts, son-in-law, Norm Larrabee, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, beloved niece, Tonita Cox, and lifelong friend, Rose Ellestad.
The family would like to thank Brittani Underhill for all the love and support and joy she brought to Myrtle's life as her caregiver.
