Nancy J. Krueger, 87, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin was taken to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, WI.  She was born Nancy Jean Lawrence on October 7, 1937 in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter of the late Willis and Emma (Bublitz) Lawrence.  Nancy was united in marriage to James A. Krueger on August 17, 1957 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Elkhorn.  She was known for her energic and creative abilities in the arts and crafts as well as her taste in decorating.  Out of love for her Lord and Savior, she often volunteered at church and her children's school.  Nancy was a devout Christian and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Jim (affectionately known as "Pops").  She leaves their two children, Phil (Debbie) Krueger of Waukesha, WI and Janice (Paul) Aderman of Cedarburg, WI, five grandchildren; James "JJ" Krueger and Katie Krueger, Heather (Trevor) Vannatta, Hannah Aderman and Hailey (Matthew) Fischer, six great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Leo, Simon, and Reuben Vannatta, Addison and Eleanor Fischer.  Preceding Nancy in death was her sister Linda (Leon) Lauderdale of Elkhorn, WI.  She also leaves her brother, Dick (Barb) Lawrence, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 415 Devendorf St., Elkhorn, WI, with Pastor Michael Kuschel officiating.  No visitation is planned.  Memorials may be made to Tuition Assistance Fund at First Evangelical Lutheran School or at the Lakeland Healthcare Center (Elkhorn) Sunshine Club Staff Appreciation Fund. The Krueger family is forever grateful to the Lakeland Health Care staff, Aurora Heath Care staff and volunteers, hospice staff for the outstanding care that Nancy has received over the years.  The family is also immeasurably grateful for the Christian love and friendship received from the staff and members of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and School.
