Olga T. Popowycz age 80 died January 17, 2022 at Greek American Rehabilitation in Wheeling, IL.  She was born in the Ukraine on the first day of World War II on June 21, 1941.  The daughter of the late Oleksiy and Vera (Chodzinski) Tkachenko.  During her life in the Ukraine she was a Professor.  She had published numerous poetry books under her publishing name of Olga Bazalia that have gained her membership to the National Writers Union of Ukraine and has some books of hers at the Library of Congress.

Survived by her son Igor Morozov and daughter Elena (Ioan) Draghici.   Grandmother to Alex, Victor and Marko Morozov and Jack Draghici.
