Patricia M. Kirmsse, 81 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Holton Manor Elkhorn, WI. She was born on December 22, 1942, in Rosholt, WI, the daughter of the late James O'Keefe and Arlene (Gilbertson) Hanson. Patricia was united in marriage to Ronald H. Kirmsse on Oct. 5, 1968, in Waukegan, IL. She was a member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church of Elkhorn, WI. Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Patricia was a secretary within the Elkhorn School District for many years, and after retirement she served as the secretary of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church. She was an avid knitter and crocheter, and she taught those skills to several of the district's teachers in small groups at her home. Patricia loved to go on camping trips every year with her family, and continued camping even in her later years. She also enjoyed her "ladies' weekend" trips to the casinos twice a year.

Patricia is survived by two children: Ronald Kirmsse and Jennifer (Chris) Bannigan; twelve grandchildren: Kaylin and Avelina Bannigan, Nicole (Ryan) Erickson, Joshua (Jennifer) Kirmsse, Benjamin Kirmsse,  Matthew Kirmsse, Ethan Rice, Kyler Kirmsse,  Logan Iseini, Aimee Wilson, Robert and Steven Bird; six great-grandchildren: Rylan, Reid, Greyson, Pheenix, Ashlea, and Kylie; brother: Thomas Hanson; nieces: Jaime (Brendan) and Jodi; nephew: Jason (Marlo); and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James O'Keefe; mother, Arlene (David) Hanson; husband of 46 years, Ronald Kirmsse; son, David Kirmsse; daughter, Jaqueline Bird; and brother, Gerald Hanson.

Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at SUGAR CREEK LUTHERAN CHURCH, N5690 Cobblestone Road, Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Dick Inglett officiating.
