Patricia S. Paulson

Patricia Seltman Paulson, 95 of Elkhorn, WI passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Holton Manor. She was born on May 17, 1930, in Melrose Park, IL, the daughter of Herbert E. Seltman & Dorothy A. (Gibson) Reedy. She married Robert C. Paulson on Oct. 27, 1951, in Elkhorn, WI. Pat graduated from Elkhorn High School with the Class of 1948. She attended Spencerian Business College of Milton. Pat was charter member of Elkhorn's Order of Rainbow for Girls.

She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a past matron of Bethel Chapter #11. Pat was a Past President of Elkhorn Garden Club. She was member of the First United Methodist of Elkhorn. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for all 3 of her sons. Pat was the first licensed Family Day Care provider in Walworth County. She provided care in her home to more than 350 children for 35 years. She retired in 2000 but continued her love of children by becoming a chaperone for Jones Bus services when they transported students home from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, WI and the Wisconsin School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Janesville for 16 years.

Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, who she dearly loved. The annual family reunion which they called “The Corn Roast” was something she always looked forward to. She also enjoyed gardening, seasonal decorating, camping, dancing, Country music, photography, bird watching, reading, and traveling, especially trips to Missouri to visit her son, John and his family and to Texas to visit her nephew, Charles Sigmund and his wife.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Peter (Kathy Papenfus) Paulson, and Christopher (Mischelle) Paulson, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and family friend, Debbie Schrader. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 33 years, Robert Paulson, son, John Paulson, grandson, Adam Paulson, and two sisters, Nancy Sigmund and Jean Thompson.

Memorial Service will be 12:00PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI. Visitation will be 10:00AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow services at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Tibbets, WI.
