Patricia Anne Piwowarczyk, age 84, of Lake Geneva, WI, died on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Hospice House of Pleasant Prairie. Daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (Sturm) Porteous, Pat was born on December 10, 1937, in Libertyville, IL. On September 8, 1957, she was united in marriage with Eugene Piwowarczyk in Chicago, IL. In the late 1960's, Pat and Gene took over her parents' pet store, Park Pet Shop in Round Lake Park, IL, owning and operating the business for over 30 years.

Beginning in high school, Pat was an avid bowler who was even inducted into the Lake County Bowling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed bowling in leagues and in national tournaments, and she taught her children and grandchildren how to bowl. Pat also enjoyed traveling, creating beautiful cross stitch pieces, and she loved baseball. She was a big Chicago Cubs fan, who was thrilled to have seen her team win a World Series during her lifetime. She enjoyed watching games from home and from Wrigley Field, where she once sat near and had her photo taken with Cubs owner, Tom Ricketts. Pat was very involved in her kids' sporting events, often acting as score keeper and team mom. Well-loved by all who knew her, Pat was always helpful, happy, hardworking, and put others first.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gene Piwowarczyk; children, Glen Piwowarczyk and Jalayne (Emmett) Dagens; grandchildren, Kyle and Amanda Dagens; special nieces, Nora Stooksbury, Barb (Charlie) Chacon, Christy (Robert) Antunez, and Angilina (Tony) Smith; and bonus grandchildren, Caela Longhway and Alyssa Robeson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eleanor Porteous; brother, Gordon Porteous; and sister, Ellen Mae (Kyle) Stooksbury.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1:00PM at the community center of 721 S. Curtis St., Lake Geneva, WI, 53147. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pat's honor can be made to the American Kidney Fund at 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 or at www.kidneyfund.org.
