Paul W. Kuchan, 89 of Elkhorn, WI, died Friday, March 6, 2020 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek, WI.  He was born April 24, 1930.  Paul was the son of Paul Peter and Josephine Kuchan and was born and raised in Lyons, Illinois.

Paul is a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Whitewater Lions Club, Boulder City Elks and the Elkhorn American Legion.  He also belonged to Willow Run Resort and a member of the men's group serving on the Building committee.

He is a member of the Saint Patrick Church, serving as an usher and greeter and helping in other activities as needed including setting up for the events and even working in the kitchen.  He assisted many of the parishioners with their home improvement projects and also delivered meals on wheels.

Paul was a carpenter by trade, building homes, churches and even an altar for one church.  He was the building officer for both Whitewater and Richmond Townships helping to obtain permits as he was familiar with all of the zoning and building regulations and worked directly with Walworth County zoning to be sure the completed projects were in compliance. He was the owner and operator of the Oak Terrace Resort on Whitewater Lake Wisconsin.

Any time he wasn't working, he could be found with his children and grandchildren as they were the love of his life. His time was spent traveling with his wife and children.  He loved participating or attending all of their sporting events and any activities they were involved in.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia, three sons; William, Robert and Thomas, two daughters, Margaret (Peg) and Sharon Kleinhans, his sister, Nancy Lain, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00AM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth St. Elkhorn, WI, with Father Oriol Regales officiating.   Burial will immediately follow Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Columbarium, Elkhorn, WI.  We hope many of you will be able to attend the Mass and please be prepared to wear a face mask because unfortunately, we are back in that situation again.
