Penelope Wagner, age 78, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, WI, after a long battle with dementia. Daughter of the late Richard and Ruth (Foley) Palese, Penny was born on August 25, 1945, in Chicago, IL. On June 28, 1969, she was united in marriage to Gary R. Wagner, in La Grange, IL. Penny taught elementary and middle school physical education in Wheaton, IL, for 34 years, with the majority of her time spent at Lincoln Elementary School. She was an avid golfer, gardener, and kayaker with a passion for physical fitness. She was also a volunteer at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL.

Penny is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Gary R. Wagner; her son, Kurt A. (Wendy) Wagner of Fort Atkinson, WI; and five grandchildren.

No services are planned. Penny will be cremated and her ashes spread at some of her favorite locations.
