Peter J. Gaertner III age 57 of Wheatland, WI, died March 18, 2018 at his home.   He was born in Chicago, IL. on November 10, 1960, the son of the late Peter and Bertha (Johnson) Gaertner Jr.   During his life he enjoyed Fishing and building models.  He spent a lot of time riding and working on bicycles. Peter liked helping elderly people.   He also liked spending time with his pet cat Mocha.

Peter is survived by his sisters, Robin (Edmund) Snell, Michelle Gaertner, Kelly Ruiz, Shari Ruiz; brothers, Anthony Ruiz and Joshua Ruiz;  uncles, Arthur Gaertner and Al Smith; aunts, Diane Gaertner and Joanne Gorzonka.  He was an Uncle to Cody, Morgan, Kyrie and Nick.   Stepson to Debbie Gaertner.  Further survived by many cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael and Dion Ruiz; grandmother,Pearl V. Gaertner; aunts, Jean (Leonard) Gilardi, Lori Smith; uncles, John and George Gaertner.
