Raymond P. Stanek, 80 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Vitas Hospice Care in West Allis, WI. He was born July 29, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the son to the late Raymond and Georgiana (Weisgerber) Stanek. Ray was united in marriage to Karen M. Zeeb on May 18, 1963 in Northlake, IL. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Elkhorn, WI. Ray served as a firefighter and EMT for Lombard, IL. He was an avid numismatist and train enthusiast. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Ray is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen, five children; Robyn Howler of Elkhorn, WI, Raymond (Loni) Stanek of Oconomowoc, WI, Matthew Stanek of Williams Bay, WI, Monica (James) Biewer of Inverness, IL and Marc (Cynthia) Stanek of Williams Bay, WI, eight grandchildren; Kaitlyn Bliss, James (Alexandra) Biewer, Jessica Biewer, Austin Stanek, Gage Stanek, Kalie Stanek, Mattison Stanek and Teagan Stanek, and one brother, Kenneth (Diann) Stanek of Hector, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Walter Howler and daughter-in-law, Tracy Stanek.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00AM on Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth St. Elkhorn, WI, with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Visitation will be 10:00AM until service time Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
