Richard E. Ball age 87 died June 25, 2020.  He was born in Charlston, Illinois on October 27, 1932.  The son of the late Floyd and Rose (Weichman) Ball.  On August 8, 1951 he was united in marriage to Velma Breen who preceded him in death on May 4, 2020.   During his life he served in the United States Army from 2/1951-2/1953 and held the rank of Sergeant.   He also was a Buffalo Grove volunteer police officer, part time officer from 6/1962-11/1971.  He was a Sergeant & Juvenile officer during his time with the dept.

Father of Debra Rybarczyk and David (Jodie) Ball.  Grandfather of Kimberly (Steven) Slavik, Michael Jeschke, Paul Rybarczyk, Matthew Rybarczyk, Evan Ball, Jordan Ball, Sarah Ball.  Great Grandfather to Katie Slavik, Logan Slavik, Grace Slavik, Ryan Jeschke and Emily Jeschke.  He was preceded in death by his wife Velma and son in law Stanley Rybarczyk.
