Obituary
Richard L. Peck age 87 of Genoa City, WI died Saturday afternoon Sept. 6, 2014 at the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI.
Richard Lewis Peck was born on November 21, 1926 in Dryden, Michigan the son of the late Lynn H. and Margarite Stocker Peck. On June 26, 1982 at Como Community Church in Lake Como, WI, he was united in marriage to Marlene Maas Thomas. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2008. Richard has lived in Genoa City (Nippersink) since 1960.
Richard served in the United States Navy from 1944 until discharge in 1947. He earned the American Area and WWII Victory Medal.
Richard farmed most of his life in Michigan and Genoa City. He also worked as building supervisor for Peck and Weis in Lake Geneva. He was a member and Past Commander of the Frank Kresen American Legion Post #24 in Lake Geneva. He formerly coached little league in Genoa City. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed restoring tractors.
Richard is survived by: 2 sons-Daryl (Denise) Peck of Lake Geneva, WI and Barry Peck of Burlington, WI; 3 step children-Cynthia (Bob) Harris of Gainesville, FL, Colleen Thomas of Milwaukee, WI and Kevin (Rebecca) Thomas of Williams Bay, WI; a daughter in law-Beth Peck of Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 17 gr. Grandchildren and a brother-Dale (Alice) Peck of Michigan.
Richard was preceded in death by 1 son-Lon Peck and a sister Marilyn.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00M Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory in Twin Lakes. Inurnment will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery.
