Richard R. Lile, 69 of Elkhorn, WI passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at home following a battle against pancreatic cancer.  He was born on August 21, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Robert and Helen (Kronberger) Lile.  Richard was 1965 graduate of Burlington High School.  He married Jean Powell on May 4, 1968 in Burlington, WI. Richard loved the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers.  He was huge fan of TV game shows; Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right. Richard loved rock music and had an un-rivaled knowledge of 60's and 70's music.  He played golf throughout his life and also played baseball, softball, basketball, biking and bowling.  In retirement, he became a master griller and great chef.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jean, three children; Scott (Carrie) Lile of CO, Jaime (Brooke) Lile of Elkhorn, and Nikki Lile of Delavan, seven grandchildren; Tuck, Zack, Paul, Jake, Bryn, Kyrin and Nicklyn, one brother, Bruce (Sharon) Lile of Burlington and sister-in-law, Maggie Lile of Burlington, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers; Jack, Robert and Donald Lile.

Memorial service 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at First Congregational Church, 76 S. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Dr. Scott McLeod officiating.  Visitation 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at First Congregational Church and 10:00AM until service time on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Richards name to First Congregational Church or Lakeland Animal Shelter, PO Box 1000 Elkhorn, WI 53121.
