Richard (Dick) G. Venecek, age 90, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2025. He was born on October 29, 1934, in Harvey, IL, the son of the late George and Alyce (Dusicka) Venecek. During his earlier life, Richard proudly served in the United States Army.

On September 29, 1989, he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Susan (Holm) Venecek in Chicago, IL. Together, they built a beautiful life together and enjoyed doing many things. Dick was known to be an avid hunter, golfer, camper, fisherman, and was a big race car enthusiast. He even raced cars himself. He also enjoyed watching sports. Dick was an Iowa Hawkeyes fan as well as a Green Bay Packer's fan (previously a Chicago Bears fan). He was also an avid newspaper reader and enjoyed taking the time to read two to three papers a day.

After Richard's retirement with T.J. Adams & Associates, he worked at Wedige Automotive as a driver and loved that job. His claim to fame was that he was their oldest and fastest driver. Dick's favorite and most significant thing was spending time with his kids and his and Sue's many friends on Lauderdale Lakes. He will be deeply missed.

Richard is survived by his loving wife; Susan Venecek, children; Margaret (Craig) Johnson, Amy Venecek, Richard Venecek and Elizabeth Venecek and grandchildren; Connor, Daly, Grant and Jane.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; George and Alyce Venecek.

A memorial service will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the funeral home, 730 N Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, WI, 53121 at 1:00PM. A visitation will take place at the funeral home from 12:00PM, until the time of service.
