Robert K. Bartelson

Robert K. Bartelson, age 91 of Elkhorn, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. He was born on December 16, 1934, and was the son of Herbert and Theresa (Schinke) Bartelson. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Marjorie Bartelson, on October 27, 1956, in Elkhorn, WI. They were married for 64 beautiful years until her passing in July of 2020. Bob was a member of the Lion's Club for three years, a part of the Elkhorn Development Company for five years, and was a St. John's Church council member for 10 years. He was a contractor of fine custom homes throughout Walworth County for 40 years. He was a very skilled and passionate carpenter and enjoyed doing it. He eventually retired in 1993.

Robert is survived by his children, Lori (Edward) Getzen and Bill (Joan) Bartelson; grandchildren, Megan (Jon) Anderson, Matthew (Meghan) Bartelson, Mackenzie (Jack) Spangler and Theresa (Charlie) Getzen Rodiger; great grandchildren, Eli, Emma, and Eveyln Anderson and John Luke, Wyatt, Hudson and Ella Spangler.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Theresa Bartelson.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at St. John's Church, 104 S. Broad Street, Elkhorn, WI, 53121 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will also take place at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial at Hazel Ridge Cemetery will immediately follow the church service.
