Obituary

Robert "Uncle Bob" C. Prescher, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his nephew's home in the town of Merton. Bob was born on Dec. 13, 1928 to the son of late Carl and Marie Prescher. He lived in Wauwatosa with his wife Edith, where he was a general contractor for many years building homes in southeastern Wi. Bob and Edith traveled all around the world to various locations such as Greece, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, Utah, Arkansas and the north woods of Wisconsin where he loved to fish and enjoyed nature. Gardening was a passion for Bob and together with his late wife Edith they grew amazing vibrant gardens. Throughout the season there were always different varieties and colors of lilies and flowers blooming. Bob also loved to cook and he cooked for his wife and was the deer hunting camp cook on Lake Camelot, WI for many seasons. Every year on his birthday Bob threw a neighborhood party where friends and family partied until the wee hours of the morning.

Bob Prescher was his wife's caregiver for many years and when her Parkinson's disease advanced into the last stages she was only in a nursing home hospice for a couple months before she died. When Bob required assistance he moved into the home of his nephew in Merton, WI where he enjoyed the company of his great niece and nephew and his great great niece and nephew.

Bob is survived by his sisters, Dolores (Jerry) Kutella and Barbara Drews along with nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edith, parents Carl and Marie, sister Virginia and brothers Ralph, Tom, Paul and George.

Following Bob's wishes there will be no funeral services held. Robert will be remembered in the prayers at Holy Hill, Hubertus, WI 53033 on three occasions: 9/7/14 at 9:30am, 10/25/14 at 4:30pm and 12/28/14 at 8:00am. In lieu of a funeral memorial or flowers Bob requested to be cremated and his ashes spread up at Lake Tomahawk, Wi. Donations in his name can be made to Siloam Church (located at W104 County Road CI, Palmyra, Wi 53156) where Bob attended Christmas Eve mass for the last seven years.

Uncle Bob loved life and he loved to party. God bless Uncle Bob he will be truly missed!
