Robert E. "Boober" Johnson, 70 of Elkhorn, WI passed away on January 28 th, 2024. Bob was born in Callicoon, NY on February 6th , 1953, the son of Robert and Betty (Keesler) Johnson. Bob was a graduate of Elkhorn Area High School Class of 1971. Bob loved his family, and being a grandpa, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his younger years Bob played softball with the Elkhorn Men's League. He was also known for his sense of humor, which he had till the very end. Bob was such a social person to the point after you just met, you would already feel like he was your best friend. Bob has a special place in his heart for his dogs. Bob is survived by his daughter, Sonya (Jason) Battersby; significant other Carmen Benavides; sisters Sandy (Charlie) Pretzman, and Pam (Mike) Tasch; brother Jeff Johnson; nephew Justin (Jennifer) Newkirk, and niece Jenny (Eric) Moehring; his grandchildren Grayson and Hadlee Battersby; great nephew Kyler Newkirk; also, by extended family, Elizabeth Nyhus, Erika Schafar, and Raymond Benavides. Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held for Bob on July 13th, 2024, at The Lauderdale Landing from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
