Robert Raymond Cole, 86, of Davis IL, passed away on June 19, 2021. Bob was born September 9th 1934 to Raymond Cole and Rose nee Cheney. At 16 Bob ran a crew of loggers helping to clear a pathway for the Enbridge pipeline. After graduating Stevenson High School he served in the U.S. Army. Bob worked as a riveter on Chicago high-rises before starting a forty year career in landscaping.  After retiring to Davis, he returned to school to become a Master Gardener. He married Judith Schmidt on September 6, 1958. The couple raised their family in Buffalo Grove where Bob was an active member of the JC's.

He was greatly loved and respected by his children Karen (Mike) Sprinkle, Patricia (Bill) Bennett, the late Laura (Dale) Abbott, Robert Cole, Matthew (Audrey) Cole, and Lynn (Phil) Braband and grandchildren Adrian and Sam Sigmon, Bill and Dan Bennett, and Fay Braband.
