Robert D. Nelson, 76 of Lake Geneva, WI, died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at his home in Lake Geneva.  He was born April 28, 1945 in Elkhorn, WI, the son of the late Victor J. and Almay "Mae" (Poepple) Nelson Sr.  Robert was united in marriage to Diane K. Leonard on January 27, 1973 at Como Community Church.  Diane preceded him in death on November 20, 2012. Robert was a member of Como Community Church. He started driving truck at 19 years old and he owned his trucking business, NTC, which is leased to Starline Trucking.  Robert also farmed with his father starting in 1973, until his father's death and then on his own until his passing. He enjoyed collecting antique Oliver Tractors.

Robert is survived by his very special friend, Dorothy Nietfeldt of Delavan, WI, brother, Victor "Sonny" J. (Sharon) Nelson Jr. of Ava, MO, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 39 years, Diane Nelson, and son, Craig R. Nelson.

Memorial Service will be 11:00AM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Como Community Church, W3901 Palmer Rd. Lake Geneva, WI, with Pastor Bob Kamps officiating.  A Luncheon and Visitation will follow services at church on Thursday.
