Robert J. Ernst age 79 of Genoa City, WI died February 26, 2022.  He was born in Elgin, IL on October 5, 1942, the son of the late Francis Ernst, Marian E. Philipp (Abel,) and stepfather Alvin Abel.  On April 8, 1989, he was united in marriage to Nancy Daily. During his life Robert was a master fisherman and loving caretaker for his elderly relatives.

Survived by his wife Nancy.  Father to Scott (Brad) Shallenbarger, Brett Shallenbarger and Chett (Tessa) Shallenbarger.   Brother to Patricia (Dennis) Peterson.  Loving Grandfather to Blake, Trey, Riley and Parker.  Further survived by his nieces Teresa Eskuri and Melissa (Rino) Nazal.

A private service will be held at a later date. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa City, WI. is assisting the family.
