IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert "Bob"
J. Mardak
May 1, 1948 – August 14, 2025
Robert "Bob" J. Mardak, age 77 of Clintonville, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. The only child of the late John and Marie Mardak, Bob was born on May 1, 1948, in Milwaukee. Bob grew up in St. Francis and later graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a bachelor's degree in athletics with a focus on physical education. He ended up working in the tool and die manufacturing industry, spending 38 years with Snap-On before retiring in 2015.
He was married to Barbara Smukalla on May 10, 1980, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He was blessed with an instant family, including Barbara's two children, Bridgett and Andrew. Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing and boating, volunteering at food pantries, and cheering on his favorite sports teams—the Packers, Bucks, and Brewers. He spent 30 years as a referee for high school basketball games throughout Milwaukee County. Bob and Barb were on a bowling league together for 25 years, hitting the lanes at Bayview Bowl twice a week and regularly competing in tournaments.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Bridgett (Robert) Way; son, Andrew (Jeannie) Melotik; and grandchildren, Kayla Melotik, Kyle Melotik, Danielle Draugelis, Samantha Way, and Dan Way. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Mardak; and wife, Barb Mardak.
A celebration of life among the family is being planned for the near future. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Elkhorn is honored to serve Bob's family.
