Robert "Bob" Pyszka, age 83, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, went to be with Our Lord on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025.  Bob was born on July 6, 1942, in Peru, Illinois, the son of Marie and Philip Pyszka.  From 1962-1965, Bob served in the army and earned special training as a Cryptographic Repairman in both the United States and Germany.  He often told people how proud he was to have served his country.  After being discharged from the Army, Bob earned his B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. He enjoyed his many years as Controller of Simmons Mattress in Janesville, as well as accounting work for Denny's Auto Center for nearly 40 years.

Bob was united in marriage to Mary Jane DeSalvo on April 14, 1973, in Chicago, and they moved shortly thereafter to Wisconsin.  Together they raised 3 children in Elkhorn.  He was devoted to his religion and was an avid member of St. Patrick's Church.  In earlier years he enjoyed golf, and later loved playing cards, especially Sheepshead and Euchre.  On the day of his death, Bob was doing what he loved more than anything – attending a ball game with his precious grandsons. His happiest days included boating, family trips, attending his grandchildren's activities, or just playing games and being with his family.

Bob is survived by MJ, his wife of 52 years, his children Kristin (Brad) Baranowski, Sandi (Chad) Staeben, Brian (Samantha) Pyszka, and grandchildren Tate, Jax, Kinsley, and Oliver, his sister Carol, his sister-in-law Pat and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents & brothers-in-law Jim and Don.

Visitation for Bob will be on Monday, August 11th from 4-7pm at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory- 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI.  Overflow parking can take place at Adam's Electric- 801 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI.  A second visitation will take place on Tuesday August 12th from 10-11am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI.  Bob's Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am following Tuesday's visitation.  A private burial will be at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob's name to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Bob's arrangements are under the direction of Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.  An online guestbook can be found at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
