Obituary

Robert "Bob" O. Behrens, 85, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Williams Bay Care Center. He was born on April 24, 1939, in Arlington Heights, IL, the son of the late Richard W. and Eleanora (Buesing) Behrens. Bob proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and with the National Guard. He was united in marriage to Linda Enloe on June 15, 1963, in Elkhorn, WI. Bob worked for William O'Donell, Inc. and later LCL Transit. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, WI.

Bob was a man with simple pleasures, and he especially cherished spending time with his family, no matter the occasion. Whether it was a casual day at home, an outdoor gathering, or a large family event, Bob was happiest surrounded by his loved ones. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's school and sporting events, taking immense pride in their accomplishments. Bob found great pleasure in maintaining a clean and proper lawn, becoming well-known for his meticulous yard.

Deeply devoted to God and our country, Bob proudly displayed his American flag, always ensuring it was protected from the weather. He eagerly anticipated the NASCAR season and loved watching the Green Bay Packers play. One of his fondest memories was touring the Daytona Raceway, an experience he often reminisced about. During the winter, Bob and Linda enjoyed watching the UW Badgers men's basketball team together. He also took delight in sharing stories of his travels across the country. Above all, Bob's greatest joy came from the time spent with his family.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda; daughter, Natalie (Brian) Marzahl; five grandchildren: Nathan (Maggie) Lockhart, Jordan (Kc) Lockhart, Jadeyn (Chris) Trautschold, Taylor (Ryonen) Lockhart, and Marlie Lockhart; seven great-grandchildren: Bowyn, Bryar, Braxtyn, Lyric, Mia, Joshua, and Luna; five siblings: Judy Riese, Richard A. (Sharon) Behrens, Carolyn Miles, Norma (Dave) Robers, and Mark (Gail) Krempel; sisters-in-law, Trudy Krempel and Patsy Krempel; brother-in-law, Tom (Vicky) Enloe; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
