Robert "Bob" D. Rowland, 75 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at his home.  He was born August 3, 1947, in Berwyn, IL, the son of the late Hiram and Helen (Schoonveld) Rowland.  Bob was a Vietnam War veteran, who served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968, with the 18th Engineer Brigade and the 14th Engineer Brigade.  He was a proud patriot and soldier, who loved being able to serve his country. Bob was united in marriage to Linda Burkhart on February 15, 1969 in Lockport, IL. He was a police officer for 42 years, and served with the Chicago Police Department, Lake Geneva Police Department, East Troy Police Department, and Walworth County Sheriff's Department. Bob showed that he was a solid leader, especially during his time as the SWAT Team Commander. Bob was a "policeman's policeman," and was highly respected during his service to his communities. He was a member of the VFW Post 6375 in Elkhorn, WI, and served several years on the Funeral Honor Guard. Bob was honest, hardworking, and proud man, who will be deeply missed by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Rowland, two daughters, Carla (Thomas) Wehe and Robinette (Michael) Terry, three grandchildren: Danielle (Greg) Jones, T.J. Wehe, and Nathan (Calla) Scheel, two great-grandchildren, Jared Owens and Barrett Scheel, brother, Hiram Rowland Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nancy Bozarth and two brothers, Daniel, and James Rowland.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be 1:30 to 3:30PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Elkhorn VFW Memorial Post 6375, 16 S. Broad St. Elkhorn, WI.  Private Inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's name may be directed to Elkhorn VFW Post 6375, 16 S.
