Roger J Moen, age 74 of Genoa City WI, bravely passed away on December 18, 2023. He was born in Eau Claire WI on November 17, 1949. The son of the late Harris V. Moen and Beatrice (Strand) Moen.

Drafted in 1971, he proudly served in the Army and the reserves until 1976. During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Service Medal (2stars) and Campaign Medal (60 Devices) before receiving his honorable discharge.

A very talented carpenter, he worked hard in the various trades until opening his own business, RJ Moen Construction, until his retirement in 2020. He loved being outdoors and hunting. Cars were a passion of his too. This included owning and restoring a 1957 Chevy Bel Aire that he bought when he was just sixteen.

On May 19th, 2001, he was united in marriage to Ethel "Mickey" Horgan.

They enjoyed traveling, boating, and building their "timber frame dream home." Both felt their union was meant to be, especially because they shared the same birth dates and had Mother's named Beatrice.

Roger is survived by his wife Mickey Horgan-Moen. Father to Brian (Lauren) Moen and grandfather to Julianna and Isabella. Additional family members include Michael (Gloria) Horgan and their son Nate; Stephen (Kris) Horgan and their sons Liam and Jack; and Charlie (Jennifer) Horgan and their daughter Hannah. He loved being outdoors, playing pool and marbles and especially spending time with his son, grandchildren, and family.

Visitation for Roger will take place Friday December 22, 2023, from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI. A Time of Sharing Memories will take place at 4:00PM. Afterwards, everyone is welcome to meet at the Village View Pub, 350 E Main St Twin Lakes, for a complimentary buffet. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in his name may be made to Patriot K9's of Wisconsin.
