Rosalie J. Burns, 94, of Elkhorn WI, passed away at home on January 14th, 2026. Rosalie was born in Elkhorn, WI, on December 29th, 1931, to her parents, Harold and Mariam (Ellsworth) Mishler. She was united in marriage to her late husband, Dean Burns, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elkhorn in 1954.

Rosalie, more than anything, loved her family, especially being a grandma and great grandma. Her love for books came a close second, Rosalie loved to read. She was also a music lover, accomplished pianist, and organist at St. John's. Rosalie had a career as a registered nurse and worked at Lakeland Hospital and Lakeland Nursing Home. Later in life she also worked at the Elkhorn library.

Rosalie is survived by her children, Patrick Burns, Peggy (Eugene) Blum, and Michael (Andrea) Burns; her grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Anna, Sally (Ben), Nora (Steve), Michael (Taylor), and Alexis (Cristian). She is further survived by her great grandchildren.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dean, and her grandchildren, Rhea and Michael.

A celebration of life will be held for Rosalie at a later date. We at Haase-Lockwood & Associates are proud to have served the Burns family.
