Rosemary Lanzarotta, age 94 formerly of E. Third Avenue Elkhorn, WI, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, WI surrounded by her loving children. She was born in 1920 in Athelstane, WI to the late Concetta and Joseph Orlando. Rosemary married Sam Lanzarotta in 1944 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2003. She was a resident of Lauderdale Lake for 14 years then moved to 418 E. Third in 1994. Rosemary was a member of Lauderdale Service Club, Women's Guild of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, volunteered at R.S.V.P. Committee for St. Joseph's Cook Books and St. Joseph's Table. She volunteered as a purchasing agent for the Elkhorn Food Pantry.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter Linda M. (Larry) Gibbons-Shafer of Ocala, FL, son James Lanzarotta of Villa Park, IL, one grandson, Joel Gibbons of Ocala, FL, many nieces, nephews and five Godchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Sam, four sisters and two brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in 107 W. Walworth St. Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI. Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in 1400 S. Wolf Rd. Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
