Obituary

Elkhorn: Russell E. Baker; 77, of Elkhorn, WI died unexpectedly Tuesday June 2, 2015 at his residence.  He was born October 23, 1937 in Burlington, WI the son of the late William H. and Ellen J. (Shultis) Baker.  Graduated University Wisconsin Madison Agriculture Short Course.  On November 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to the former Mary A. Johnson at the Norway Lutheran Church Waterford, WI.  Russ worked for the AT&T for over 36 years retiring in 1999.  He was 50 year member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Elkhorn.  His passions included hunting, fishing and had many memorable trips.  His greatest joy in life was his family, watching his grandchildren grow up.  He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his loving family who include his wife of 55 years, Mary, Two children; Jeanne (Ken) Ehlen of Cambridge, WI and Tim (Laura) Baker of Waterford, WI,  Five Grandchildren; Luke and Katie Ehlen, Megan, Emily and Grace Baker,  One sister; Jean (Harold) Kaeding of Racine, WI, Two brothers; Paul (Sylvia) Baker of Elkhorn, WI and David (Donna) Baker of Delavan, WI and by a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by an infant son Christian Baker, his parents, and his In-laws: Francis and Olene Johnson.  Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 6, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church 104 S. Broad Street Elkhorn, WI with Rev. Tom DeGroot officiating.  Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM and after the service during the luncheon.  Private Inurnment will be at Norway Lutheran Church Cemetery Waterford, WI.  Memorials may be made to the church.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
