Sharon L Kraemer

Sharon L. Kraemer passed away on September 17, 2026, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, just days before her 86th birthday. She was born on September 27, 1940, in Melrose Park, Illinois, and her life was marked by devotion to family, faith, and caring for others.

Sharon grew up in Bohners Lake, Wisconsin, a place that remained part of the story of her life. Over the years, she worked as a CNA, caring for many people with compassion and dedication. She found joy in simple and meaningful things: dressing nicely and wearing her jewelry, reading the Bible and participating in Bible study, and taking pictures of her children and family so that special moments would be remembered. Music was also part of her gift to others. She loved singing at church and, in her later years, sang to the residents of Sage Meadows, sharing warmth and comfort through her voice. Above all, one of Sharon’s proudest accomplishments was being a good mom to her children.

Family was at the heart of Sharon’s life. She is survived by her children, Darlene Stanley and her husband Dale, Bonnie Baker JIm Kraemer and his wife Devonne),  Danny Kraemer and his wife Karen, Paul Kraemer and his wife Lisa, and John Kraemer and his wife JoAnn. She also leaves behind a large and loving group of grandchildren: Brian Baker; Lisa Lounsbrough and her husband Aaron; Michelle Wiering and her husband Jacob; Ryan Stanley; Jennifer Stoerp and her husband Jim; Tiffany Wegand and her husband Jeff; Ashley Drake; Sondra Funk; Brittany Held and her husband Tom; Kandace Koschak and her husband Garrett; Daniel Kraemer and his wife Melanie; Morgan Taylor and her husband Adam; Derek Kraemer; Jeremiah Kraemer; and Jonathan Kraemer and his wife Bailey.

Sharon was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought added joy to her family: Kyle, Caleb, Cooper, Dylan, Maggie, Justin, Jevan, Aiden, Madison, Benson, Pillman, Riley, Graham, Braden, Carter, and Westlyn, as well as a baby boy Kraemer expected in January 2027. She is also survived by her brother, Ken Karns. The love Sharon gave so freely will continue to live on through each of them.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jim Kraemer; her parents, Elmer Karns and Darlene (Kellinger) Karns; her brother, Ron Karns; her son-in-law, Michael Baker; and her grandchildren, Joshua Kraemer and Danyel Kraemer. Their memories remained part of her life and are now reunited with her in rest.

A visitation for Sharon will be held on October 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Faith First Congregational UCC, 624 Park Street, Genoa City, Wisconsin 53128. A  memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church.

Sharon will be remembered as a woman of faith, tenderness, and quiet strength, whose care for others was evident both in her work and in the way she loved her family. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
