Spring G. Creger, age 68, of Elkhorn, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Daughter of the late Keith and Beverly (Chester) Houghtaling, Spring was born on June 12, 1957, in La Crosse, WI. She grew up in Waterford and later settled in Elkhorn. Spring enjoyed cooking, baking, arts & crafts, and hated sports of any kind. The greatest joy in her life came from being a mother and grandmother. She was blessed to share a home with her kids and grandkids, always having them close. Spring had a great sense of humor, a trait she passed along to the rest of her family. Her absence is deeply felt and her memory will forever be cherished.

Spring is survived by her children Crystal and Cody Creger; grandchildren, Kendrah Barker, Cameron, Kase, and Cree Mellenthin, and Jacob and Levi; sisters, Pamela Lentz and Kim Ostrander; long-time friend, Lenny Creger; and her beloved canine companion, Sassy. Spring was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Beverly Houghtaling; daughter, Summer Grenier; and son, Little Lenny Houghtaling.

A celebration of Spring's life will be held in the future. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home is honored to serve the Creger family.
