Stephen C. Maes, 79, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 4, 1942 in Aurora, IL, to the late Leopold "Lee" and Dorothy (Heinz) Maes. Steve was united in marriage to Catherine M. Ianno on September 6, 1970 in LaGrange, IL. He was a car fanatic, owning 368 cars over the span of his life (he kept track!). Steve enjoyed boating with his family and friends on Lauderdale Lakes. He especially loved taking his daughter, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and their friends on wild tube rides behind the boat. He also enjoyed playing card games like Gin Rummy and Mauw.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Cathy, their daughter, Camden (Brian) Harlan, two grandchildren: Andrew Rousonelos and Catherina (Cole Thompson) Rousonelos, two step-grandchildren: Zakkery and Skylar Harlan, three siblings: Marilyn Amundson, Michael (Nancy) Maes, and Joseph Maes, sister-in-law, Carole Maes and honorary daughter, Sue (Rick) Feltz.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Maes.
