Steven "Steve" McGregor
Steven "Steve" McGregor, 55, passed away on June 18, 2026, after courageously battling multiple illnesses for six years.
Steve was born on April 4, 1971, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, the youngest of six children. He spent most of his life in the Twin Lakes, Wisconsin area, where he became known for his love of the outdoors, his dedication to family and friends, and his commitment to serving his community.
An avid hunter, fisherman, boater, and camper, Steve was happiest when spending time outdoors. He was a longtime member of the Twin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department and served as a First Responder, a role that brought him great pride and personal fulfillment. Helping others in times of need was one of the ways he gave back to the community he loved.
Throughout his life, Steve worked in a variety of occupations, including owning and operating a hardscaping and snow plowing business. He also earned a certificate in Emergency Management Response from Gateway Technical College, reflecting his dedication to emergency preparedness and public service.
Above all, Steve cherished his family. He was the proud father of Vyvian McGregor and a devoted stepfather to Danyell, Scarlett, and Josephine. He shared many years with his longtime partner, Jody Robison, and was a constant source of love, support, and companionship to those closest to him.
Steve is survived by his partner, Jody Robison; his daughter, Vyvian McGregor; his stepdaughters, Danyell, Scarlett, and Josephine; his sister, Carrie Hergott (Jim); his brother, Jim McGregor (Laurie Floren); his sister, Annie Kinzer (John); his brother, Ken McGregor (Heather); his brother, Dave McGregor (Tamme McKee); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norma and John Springer.
Steve will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to help others, his love of the outdoors, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who knew him. His memory will live on in the stories shared around campfires, on fishing boats, around hunting camps, and in the hearts of family and friends.
A memorial visitation celebrating Steve's life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.

Following the conclusion of the services, family and friends are invited to continue celebrating Steve's life at Main Street Tap in Twin Lakes for food, drinks, fellowship, and the sharing of memories.
Following a lengthy illness and years of long-term care, Steve leaves behind no life insurance benefits.
