Steven R. “Steve” Samson, 70, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Steve was born in Ohio on July 6, 1955, to Donovan and Clara Marie (Ashcraft) Samson. Steve married the love of his life Julie (Romp) Samson in Toledo, OH, on October 12, 1979.

Steve loved his family and never missed a sporting event or activity that his children or grandchildren were involved in, and especially gushed over his beloved grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time on his boat, snowmobiling, and woodworking in his shop or garage. Steve also loved Christmas and decorating his home for the holidays, and was affectionately referred to as “Clark Griswold” through the duration of the holiday season.

Steve is survived by Julie, his two sons Ryan (Meghan) Samson and Justin (Kristin) Samson, and his three grandchildren Nathan, Ian, and Bonnie. He is also survived by his siblings Donna (Dan) Dean, Donovan “Sam” Samson, and Karen Samson, as well as Karin Romp, Kevin Romp, and his mother-in-law of 45 years, Dorothy Romp, and many nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
