IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tamara J
Olsen
July 26, 1974 – November 24, 2024
Tamara Joan Olsen passed away November 24, 2024 at the age of 50.
Tamiy was born on July 26, 1974 to Norman and Joan (Pfeffer) Olsen in Chicago, IL. She was a kind and loving soul whose generosity knew no bounds. Tamiy had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone who was in need, offering everything from a place to stay to just being a friend if you needed to talk. Her heart was always open to everyone. Tamiy's laughter was infectious and her sense of humor was a joy to be around. She had a deep faith and loved sharing her insight on God, Jesus, how to how to walk the path of God and be a loving, forgiving, free-spirited person.
Tamiy was a lover of nature and the outdoors. She especially loved spending time outdoors, most often around the farm. She loved to mow the lawn and took great pride in it always looking perfect. During the warmer months she could often be found mowing the lawn even if it had only grown an inch since the last time. Her passion for and love of nature can be seen in the cages and markers that she used to mark the location of baby oak trees. With her help hopefully future generations will be able to enjoy the beautiful oak trees that she allowed to grow. She had a huge love of animals. Throughout her life she had many pets who were deeply loved and she tried to help every stray cat who found his or her way to the farm.
Tamiy was always artistic growing up, and her artistic talent blossomed when she became employed at Gilbertson's Stained Glass in Lake Geneva and developed a talent for creating stained glass sculptures, mobiles and all manner of three dimensional stained glass creations. After her employment at Gilbertson's she continued her work in her home studio. Her work is beautiful and one of a kind. She was also quite athletic. She grew up skiing nearly every night at Wilmot Mountain. She also loved biking, mountain biking and was an avid runner who completed several half marathons.
Music was a huge passion for Tamiy. She enjoyed a wide variety of genres, from Rock and Heavy Metal to Country and Folk music and most everything in between. She loved live music in particular; her favorite live show of all time was Roger Waters performing The Wall at Wrigley Field in 2012. Other favorites include Tom Petty, Rammstein and several Iron Maiden shows. We have an abundance of memories of concerts with Tamiy through the years.
Tamiy is survived by her sister Erika Hering, her brother-in-law Richard (Rick/Dale) Hering, her companion Chuck Henne, her dear friend Dominick Ziolek, many friends and extended family members, her four cats Andy Pants, Orangie, Cutie Pie, and Buster, and dog Izzy. Tamiy was predeceased by her mother Joan B. Olsen (Pfeffer) and father Norman C. Olsen.
Tamiy was a beautiful person inside and out and leaves an incredible hole in this world. Her memory is a treasure for all of us. We miss her terribly but her spirit will live on in the countless lives that she touched. We love you Tamiy. Until we meet again.
A celebration of life will occur at a later date at her home with details to be determined. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI is honored to serve the Olsen family.
